The DIII-D Standalone Timing Receiver is fully compatible with the existing DIII-D Timing System. Its "standalone" capability allows it to be used with any of the various data acquisition and control systems deployed at DIII-D, whether it be CAMAC, Vector, or CompactPCI or other. This flexibility is especially helpful as DIII-D undergoes the transition to a new data acquisition standard. It is also ideal as an emergency replacement for older devices. The only requirements are 110 VAC line power via an IEC power connector and a timing signal from the Timing Generator via the standard 3-pin LEMO connector.
